Hello, friends! I hope you’re doing so well this week – let me know if you have any fun plans! I’m actually off to Canada for a much-needed weekend away from work, etc. Since the weather is finally sunny and warm here I was on the hunt for some new music to add to my rotation (at least new to me) that would give me all those Spring vibes, and I got some really good recommendations so I decided I would share them here! Let me know if you love any of these as well or plan to give them a try. 🙂
Lauren Daigle – How Can it Be?
This has been the album on repeat whenever I get in the car. Every song is an anthem, it seems, and full of truth and the amazing messages that I need to hear. Lauren’s voice is different from so many others out there, which makes her stand out. You can hear her passion in her voice, too, and that draws me in every time.
Mamma Mia Soundtrack
If you need some upbeat music that’s just fun, this is a great one. I’d seen and heard Mamma Mia before, but never made its music part of my regular playlist, until I was reminded of the song “Take a Chance on Me.” I think I played that song…47 times the other day? You just can’t help but be in a good mood when it comes on.
London Gospel Choir
It’s no secret that I love a gospel choir. I’m always on the hunt for a good choir and recently I found this one, and I have to say, they just make me happy. I love “Swing Low” and “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah” most of all.
Stand by Me – Ben E. King
No, I did not add this to my playlist after the Royal Wedding… Okay, okay I did. But it was so good, right?? I loved this song before and this just reminded me of why it should be a staple in my ‘happy music’ rotation.
Ain’t Too Proud to Beg – The Temptations
Again, a song I’d heard before, but only really gotten into recently. This one is also just an upbeat, happy song that gets you singing along.
The Eagles – The Greatest Hits
If you haven’t listened to much of The Eagles I would definitely recommend it. Rock isn’t my typical style, but it’s just that good. The songs are catchy, the voices are so nice to listen to, and it’s all very ‘feel-good’ – basically the best kind of road trip music. “Take it Easy” I think is the epitome of summer music.
I hope you check out some of these, or remind yourself of how good they are, and even share some of your own recommendations down below!
Until next time, my friends. xx
